Natural Thermal Baths

The divine waters of Salvarola Terme

The Terme della Salvarola are among the best natural thermal baths in northern Italy, thanks to their “divine” waters. This is how Dr. Giovanni Battista Moreali referred to them in the 18th century, prescribing them to his patients as a treatment for various conditions. The mineral springs have been known since Roman times and were frequented by figures such as Matilde di Canossa and the Este family.

Nestled in the green hills of Modena, in the Salvarola Terme area, within the municipality of Sassuolo, the thermal facility is frequented by those seeking a natural treatment for various respiratory, joint, or skin conditions, as well as those simply looking for a relaxing getaway and well-being.

The thermal baths also feature a multifunctional outpatient clinic and a physiotherapy center specializing in rehabilitation with thermal water, where various conditions are treated by qualified professionals and specialists.

Sulfur water

Sulfur water is used to treat respiratory, skin, and dermatological issues, as well as conditions related to osteoporosis, particularly through warm humid inhalation, aerosol, humidification, tubo-tympanic insufflation, nasal irrigation, micronized nasal showers, mud treatments, baths, and hydromassage.

Sulfo-bicarbonate-magnesium water

The use of Sulfo-Bicarbonate-Magnesium water is indicated for subacute and chronic inflammatory processes of the respiratory system, lower limb phlebopathies, osteoarthritis, dermatological diseases, dyspepsia, and constipation.
