Project Never Fragile Again!
Osteoporosis is a physiological condition that affects the skeletal system, reducing bone mineral density and deteriorating the bone structure itself. The most serious consequence of osteoporosis is fragility fractures, which in Italy represent a public health emergency above the European average. In our country, over 4 million people are affected by osteoporosis, of which 3.2 million are women and 0.8 million are men.
It is therefore essential to take concrete actions to prevent and reduce the social and economic impact of this condition, which is still poorly known and treated. Thermal treatments represent a valuable ally in the management of osteoporosis; numerous studies show that thermal therapies improve bone composition, counteracting weakening and preventing fractures. For this reason, in our facility, always attentive to the care of both the local population and beyond, the therapeutic project “Never Fragile Again! Osteoporosis at Terme della Salvarola” was created.
Prevention is the most effective weapon against osteoporosis, to be combined with regular physical activity and a proper diet. Balnea Terme della Salvarola offers a project characterized by moments of early diagnosis, prevention, and treatment through a comprehensive and personalized approach to patient care by a team of highly qualified professionals.
Our goal is to guide and support the patient through a long-term care journey, providing advice, recommendations, and continuous monitoring to achieve both physical and psychological improvement. Our modern and functional facility allows us to welcome patients, ensuring moments of pleasant well-being surrounded by greenery.
