Land of engines, flavors, art, and beautiful singing.
Our thermal complex is nestled in the greenery of a large park on the Modenese hills, in the Salvarola Terme area. The surrounding region, part of the municipality of Sassuolo, is a territory rich in culture, art, nature, flavors, and human activities that have given rise to world-renowned excellences. It is the perfect place to explore tourist, motor, food and wine, cultural, naturalistic, and opera-related routes.
The automotive manufacturers and private collections of vintage cars have earned this region the nickname “Motor Valley,” an incredible hub of automotive masterpieces such as Ferrari, Maserati, Stanguellini, Lamborghini, Pagani, and De Tommaso. Maranello, the headquarters of the Prancing Horse and home to the famous Ferrari Museum, is just 9 km from Salvarola Terme.
The people of Modena have only one passion that rivals their love for motors, and that is good food. In a land rich in food and wine products renowned worldwide, such as typical cured meats, Lambrusco wine, and the imitated Parmigiano Reggiano, there is one food that stands out as truly unmatched: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP and IGP Balsamic Vinegar. A delicacy that you must taste at least once in your life. Terme della Salvarola, with the typical products of the region (Lambrusco Grasparossa grapes, Vignola cherries, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, and pumpkin), has created cosmetic lines featuring thermal sulfo-bicarbonate-magnesian water and the active ingredients of these products. At the Sensory Beauty Center, anti-aging and regenerative treatments are performed, including the use of fresh products (such as vinotherapy, which we first introduced in Italy).
The province of Modena is rich in artistic and cultural beauty: the long-lasting and prosperous rule of the Este family has left behind masterpieces of art and architecture. Near Salvarola Terme, you can visit the Ducal Palace of Sassuolo, the castles of Spezzano and Formigine, and then the Romanesque Cathedral of Modena, the Ghirlandina Tower, and Piazza Grande, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. When we talk about culture, we cannot overlook music, especially the memory of the Modenese Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, one of the most famous Italians of all time, beloved worldwide. The Emilia-Romagna cultural heritage also includes the tradition of ceramics. In one of the most renowned ceramic districts in the world, the region is enriched with numerous creations that pay homage to this prestigious art form.
And finally, there is nature, which gifts this territory between the Secchia and Panaro rivers with the beauty of gentle hills covered in vineyards and the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. A must-see is the Regional Protected Reserve of the Salse di Nirano, just 6 km from Terme della Salvarola, along with various routes to explore by bike or on foot, through rivers, forests, and ancient paths, such as the cycling and walking trail that runs along the Secchia River. One of the most important is the Via Vandelli, just 2 km from Salvarola Terme, which in the mid-1700s connected the Ducal Palaces of Sassuolo and Modena to Massa Carrara in Tuscany.
